The Kane Street Community Garden is on land owned by the City of La Crosse and is managed by the Hunger Task Force.

Since 1998, it has produced more than 213,000 pounds of fresh, organic vegetables distributed to La Crosse area residents in need through organizations like the Salvation Army, the Boys & Girls Club, the Food Bank, the YMCA, and churches, school and scouts. Each summer, hundreds of volunteers help with harvesting.
