Greenville has a lot of green and is definitely becoming a Smarter City! We have the Shi Center for Sustainability at Furman University, the Swamp Rabbit Trail for walking and cycling, an electric bus manufacturing company coming soon (Proterra), GOFO organization (Greenville Organic Foods Organization), Farmers' Markets, more LEED buildings being built, a green and healthy living magazine (Natural Awakenings Upstate), restaurants using local and organic produce, and a walkable downtown with a lot of trees! Greenville is constantly working on ways to become more sustainable.
